Thank you for your interest in applying to ride in the 2027 End2End cycle relay. This application helps us understand your cycling experience, availability, fundraising commitment, and ability to participate safely in a demanding supported relay from Victoria to Port Hardy and back.
It is important that you read this basic information as you consider your application.
The event is a relay, where 4 pairs of cyclists ride 50km legs in turn over an approximate 48-hour period. Each pair of riders will cover approximately 250km in the two days. We leave from Victoria and Ride to Port Hardy, turn around and ride right back. We ride continuously through the day and night.
- You need a road bike.
- You will need resilience.
- You need to prepare for an “Epic” adventure.
- You will need a cycling kit. We will provide 2 jerseys.
- You will be fully supported and catered for.
All applicants should recognize that the bike relay is merely a way to achieve End2End’s main goal, which is to raise money for the Island Kids Cancer Association, a charity that helps the families of cancer-stricken children on Vancouver Island. As such, team members will be expected to take part in fundraising activities in the weeks and months leading up to the relay.
Mandatory Dates
- Rider Applications are due no later than 5pm on Oct 15th, 2026
- There will be a post selection information meeting November 17th, 2026 at 6pm.
- There will be a Team Launch towards the end of January 2027.
- A predeparture meeting will be held in the first week of June 2027.
- The event will run, Tuesday June 15th to Thursday June 17th, 2027
